So on the live stream, Bo got to taste the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Haunted Apple Fanta. Yeah. Uh, he got it in a bottle and he gave you his reaction. Bo, what was your reaction?

6:59 Well, the initial, like I told everybody, this is my, the initial taste is not bad. Cause it's called a haunted apple or whatever. So the initial apple taste is not good. And then whenever they want to throw in for the aftertaste of the haunted kind of sneaks in and just ruins it. Like, yeah, it just, it didn't, it just, it just didn't do it any favors, which I told them before the stream, I should have saved this reaction for them. So y'all guys could have seen, but, uh, I let my kiddo Oliver try it. And, uh, he tried it and he said, and I told him, you know, my, my thoughts on it. He goes, Nope, it tasted bad before and after. He didn't cut it. No slack. Hey, I mean, you know, it's Beetlejuice. I wouldn't love it, you know, but it's, it's not one of my favorite flavors of soda.

That face he's making on the can is exactly the face all three of us have made now.

I think it's my brain wanted me to like it. And that's why I gave it that extra two or three seconds. Then it was like, yeah, like, no, no. Yeah. Okay. Of course, also, I was burning up after sweating and marching for however long the Dragon Con parade, so anything cold and wet to drink was a wanted thing. Yeah. But if anybody wants any cans, it isn't yummy.

That tastes like Beetlejuice. It does. It really does. I went ahead and drank the entire can. My first, and look, that was a one-time deal. So we're going to have a lot of leftover souvenir cans. Yeah. I mean. They gave me a can. I'm going to hold on to it for display purposes. Yeah. Yeah. Who knows? It may rot the bottom of it out. I might just need to puncture it a little bit to drain it.

We may have an Alabama Ghostbusters contingent there at Kami Con, but there's a high chance the three of us will not be there for that one.

14:34 Very nice. Awesome. So dragon con, um, definitely, uh, one of our favorite events every year. This was number. In a row for me. Um, this was for me. And Jess, this is eight. Yeah. Right. Right. Yeah. My first one was twenty sixteen. Yes. Yeah. I started in two thousand nine. The only year any of us miss is the one everybody missed was twenty twenty, even though we had tickets for it. They were nice and honored those tickets in twenty twenty one.

Uh, it's not looking good for us to make it this year, but as far as Dragon Con, it's number nine for Jamie, number ten for Phil. All right. Wow. Yeah. In two thousand nine, I started going to Dragon Con because of PKE Surge. That was the first one that was announced. And that's the first one I attended because I wanted to meet everybody I'd been getting to know online. Um, and yeah, uh, Darn a says first dragon con. I never stepped in the foot in the vendor hall and didn't want to waste time in a line that could be spent time hanging with y'all. Thank you so much, man.

15:55 The vendor hall. Once you've been in the dragon con vendor hall, you've been in it every year. It's the same dealers over and over. The only thing. Yeah. As I say, I didn't want to cut you off. He had the same thing. You were gonna probably say the artist. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The artist alley, because we've got a select group of artists that we like to see every year. In fact, one of them that we have been bombarding with lots of money, we graciously give him money. Uh, Jimmy Mulligan, who's a Disney artist. Um, they finally recognized us this year and went, Hey guys, good to see y'all again. We're repeat customers. Definitely. Definitely.

16:36 But We, uh, Dragon Con, we, we got there on Thursday this year as we normally do. Uh, next year we're taking the leap. That's right. We are going to, um, we are going to attend Dragon Con Wednesday through Monday next year. Um. Have you, have either one of you ever been on Wednesday before? Mm. No. Okay. All right. Yeah. Wednesday is the new Thursday. It'll be Wednesday. Our dudes. Yeah. So. Yep. Jamie and Phil got there on Wednesday. Shoot. There were people there like the Monday or Tuesday before. Darnay. Didn't Darnay. He got there.

17:16 I think Darnay got up there on Tuesday. Yeah. Correct us if we're wrong, Darnay. Um, yeah, we have never, none of us have ever gone on Wednesday just because, um, Oh, and he got a room for next year. Darn, he said he booked Wednesday through Wednesday for next year, and I was able to snack a room. Fantastic. I did see that. So good to hear that. Yeah. So Dragon Con definitely is a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to being there an extra day next year just for the relaxation purposes. We don't have to get there as early because we always get there early on Thursday. Yeah. Yeah, we always get there early on Thursday. Yeah.

17:56 get in, get checked in, run down, get our badges. And then just that begins the hectic weekend. So I think that Wednesday next year is going to be really good for just getting in, maybe getting in around lunch, around check-in time, you know, being able to drive over later in the morning or even early afternoon, get over there, settle in, relax, go hang out, eat dinner with people and hang out with whoever, whomever's there. And, Well, that's what Thursday used to be like. What's that? That's what Thursday used to be like. Yeah. Yeah. Thursday used to get in and nice and settled in. Nope. Wednesdays now. Yeah. Because they officially made Thursday a con day.

18:39 There are so many things happening and we can blame our friend Joe Crow on that. Apparently. Yeah. He revealed at his, at his American sci-fi classics panel that they decided to do things on Thursday. So dragon con said, well, why not follow their lead? You want to blame somebody blame Joe? Yeah. Yeah. Thanks Joe. We love you. Awesome. Joe. Oh, but it was wonderful getting in on Thursday and seeing everybody. So let's, I guess we break down kind of day by day what happened or how we want to go with this. All right. We already broke down Thursday, you know, get there, you know, get there, get our passes and all that fun stuff.

19:23 Pretty much. Yeah. We went to wrestling. Uh, I attended my first dragon con wrestling Thursday night, which was fun. Uh, it's a fun event to go to. Um, we got to see Rikishi. He had a, he had a part to play in the dragon con wrestling this year. Yes, he did. And let's just, we're going to share some photos here from the, from the weekend. So people can see what we're talking about. Ooh, one second, please. There we go. All right. We'll just, there's not going to be any rhyme or reason to these photos. We're just going to thumb through them and talk about them. How about that? Sure. Yeah. Why not? All right.

20:04 So Rikishi was at dragon con wrestling, uh, on, on Thursday. There he is. That's a big quiche. This was on Friday that we got to meet him, Jess, and I went over there. And that's Sarah. She is Rikishi's con agent who we have become friends with. And so she's like, I really want to meet you guys in person. So make sure you come over and say hi. And so we got to say hi to her. And then Rikishi was trying to sign our photo. Yeah. He was, he was really trying to, to sign the photo and Sarah kept talking to us and, and we were actually behind the table behind Rikishi. And he's like, well, thanks for coming to see me.

20:51 It's so funny. I finally realized why he looked so different. I know he's older, but like I was watching, uh, like I was telling them, I was watching some older stuff and he, he doesn't have his goatee anymore. That's what, that's what I realized. It looks so different about him now. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, and I, um, I, as I liked when I find out, you know, someone, I always like to try to make an impression on somebody I'm meeting, you know, the wrestlers and stuff like that. I've, I've been known to do that throughout the years. And, uh, I found out Rikishi likes Skittles. So I did bring him some Skittles and I made Rikishi a friendship bracelet, which, um, he did, uh, He put on there at the table when I was there and he actually took a picture of it and shared it on his Instagram and Facebook story.

21:39 So and then throughout the throughout the weekend when I guess he was doing his own photo, you know, during the pro photo op session. And you can see the bracelet that that I made for him that he was wearing in the pictures over the weekend. Yeah. And it said big quiche. Big quiche. Yep. And it had Fatu on the other side. Yeah. But in his picture he took, it was showing the big quiche. Yeah. Yeah. He wore it all weekend. That was awesome. Yeah. And Darnay says, I think one of the coolest moments was Thursday getting to finally meet y'all after years of being online friends or being greeted with a welcoming hug. Absolutely, man. That we were so thrilled to finally get to meet you and get to meet Skylar and all, uh, who we've known online for a long time and yeah, absolutely.

22:28 We are huggers. We're all huggers. Very much so. But yeah, Friday was mostly Brock and I made the decision to get up Friday morning and go ahead and hit the vendor hall because we knew where we were going. We went straight up to the artist floor and got the, got the two, got the prints that we wanted to pick up this year. Yeah. And I, You know, I don't mean to derail things. I got them here. I didn't get them prepared, but go ahead. But it's like we were saying before, you know, the vendor halls, the lowered floors, you know, it's the same every year. Nothing changes.

23:09 Most of the stuff, you know, there are people that do their own, you know, craft stuff. Woodworking and weather making and clothes making. most of the time I find myself picking up their Etsy cards or whatever and checking out their stuff. But you know, a lot of the things that you can find in the vendor hall, you can, you can find online. Yeah. Um, so. And one of the, one of the things I was looking for, like we talked about Jimmy Mulligan, the Disney artist, Jimmy did this aerial print for Tampa Bay comic-con the weekend before. And I got on this Instagram and I'm like, dude, you have to bring that to dragon con please. And he said, duly noted and he brought them and I got it. Yeah.

23:49 but he also had a, um, he also brought, uh, one, a dragon con exclusive. If you look at Ariel's headband on her, on her hat, that's the Marriott carpet, the old Marriott carpet. So, yeah. Oh, and there is Katie. Sorry, we're late. We were watching fall guy, the, the, uh, new one or the old Lee major show. But, Yeah, we're just showing off art prints right now, Katie. What do we call that? Pumpkin Spice Ariel? Yeah, Pumpkin Spice Ariel. Yeah. By the way, we were in Target Friday on the way home, and I did see that Keurig now has the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice K-Cups, which got a little lady very happy when she was told that today.

24:40 Is that time again? Mm-hmm. So Katie said, yeah, they're watching the new one. We need to watch that one. I've heard good things about it. Yeah, I've heard good things. Pumpkin cookies. Phil says he's eating pumpkin cookies now. Pumpkin cookies. Pumpkins. Very nice. Um, but you know, most, most of the time Brock and I will, you know, in previous years we'll go through the vendor hall and we usually just zip through all the other floors just to get to the top floor where the artists are. Cause that's where we end up. That's where we end up spending our money at the vendor hall. So we got that knocked out Friday, which wasn't bad really. Well, Jimmy was, was the one that I was really aiming for because when he, when he said he would bring that Tampa Bay aerial print, um, that was like that we are heading right there.

25:29 I don't want him to sell out of those because I, I loved it so much. So yeah. Yeah. And we picked up a couple other things. I mean, I don't know if you go through all your prints, but yeah. So he wasn't the only artist we bought from. We did pick up a couple more things. Aunt Lucia, who designed the DC bombshells. If you're familiar with those. Being an Air Force veteran, I love World War II bomber art. And so the DC bombshells with Harley and all that. He's the one that designed that. So he had a... a couple of new prints that we went and grabbed and all but um but yeah we just made the decision we were going to knock out the vendor hall stuff and our autographs and get those out of the way that's over and done with friday because it sat from what we could tell we're glad we did because as the weekend progressed and we were in the marriott and we saw the the lines getting into the to the walk of fame area we're glad we went ahead and knocked all of that out yeah Yeah.

26:32 Um, speaking of autographs, I do, I do want to share what we got this year. Okay. Um, as we did the walk of fame, Vincent D'Onofrio was there and I had to, I've got, I've got Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones on an original men in black poster. And I've got Josh Brolin, uh, on an eight by ten from, as with him as a young, uh, agent K so. when I saw Vincent was going to be there, I'm like, I gotta get Edgar. Yeah, absolutely. I, uh, my interaction with him of course, was to look and say that there was no eight by tens of a mystic pizza up there. So he said, he said, yeah, we ran out of those, but of course, um, Bo and I, well, Beau first who introduced me to it.

27:27 Mass effect. Oh yeah. Mass effect. Uh, the, the voice actress for tally was there. Ash Sroka. Yeah. Yeah. And I have been wanting to meet her. She's one of the, she was one of the few, and I totally did not know that she was going to be there. And if you've seen past streams, and if you know the Mass Effect lore, this picture of Tally sits on Shepard's nightstand in his quarters on the Normandy on the ship. That's a romance option now, don't. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it's a metal frame that Bioware was selling. I mean, even on the back, it says, Shepard, wherever you go, I'm with you.

28:10 I had no idea she was going to be there. I would have gotten her to sign this. Yeah. Maybe another chance. I hope so. Cause she was fantastic and she's shorter than Jessica, which is awesome. Renee was tiny. I'll get to her in a second, but, um, but yeah. And then of course, if you followed the podcast for any amount of time, you know, that we are on the mission to complete this, uh, first season cast picture of strange new worlds, Star Trek. And so we were able, and I'm Babs. the doctor.

28:50 Yeah. I can't pronounce his last name and I'm so sorry, Babs, but we met him and he was a delight. He finally came, uh, Bruce Horak, who was a engineer, a hammer who, Oh, we've made it through the, well, well, if you, if you haven't seen it, he's in the first season. Um, but he is, he's legally blind. Um, And his engineer is on the show as well. It's really cool. He's a great guy. We had a lot of fun talking to him, but we got him to sign it. Uh, Melissa is a Valdez. Is that her last name? I think Melissa, I know her. I know her first name is Melissa. She was supposed to be there. She backed out like the Tuesday before dragon con.

29:33 So we still have to get Melissa and Rebecca Romaine, who was at a fan boy expo in Orlando this weekend. Yeah. Yeah. So those are the last two signatures we need. And sorry, I'm pointing out seeing Jamie's comment about, or when he was in sale, that, that movie, that is a movie. I have not seen it. Him and Jennifer Lopez is one of our first movies, kind of a sci-fi thriller. That's honestly, that's why I didn't see it. Yeah. Anything with Jennifer Lopez, I avoid like the plague. Gotcha. I understand. She's one of those actresses I can't.

Garrett Wang, who was Ensign Harry Kim on Voyager, Uh, he is the director of the Trek track at Dragon Con and has been for years. And I've never taken the time to go and see him. Well, this picture, this cast photo was signed by Ethan Phillips, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Duncan McNeil, and Robert Picardo.

30:55 This picture I got in nineteen ninety six. This was signed by those four cast members in nineteen ninety six at the thirtieth anniversary Star Trek convention in Huntsville. And in nineteen ninety six after I got it, I put this picture in a frame and it has not been out of the frame until this year when I found it again and said, OK, this is this year I've got to get Garrett. So I went and I got Garrett. And I told him that story. He's like, Holy smokes. That thing is not disintegrated yet. He said, no. So he, he was looking at it. He's like, okay, you still, you still need Robert Beltran. You need, uh, tell him, get them the dragon con.

Um, but he's, I'm like, he's like, you know, we all talk on the podcast. They do a podcast. Um, and I'm like, uh, Bring them to Dragon Con so I can finish this. Tell them to come to Dragon Con. Yeah, this picture is only twenty eight years old. And then the last thing that we were we stood in line for the majority of Friday was the entire cast for and Bo already had all these guys. Yep. So now I've got to track him down again to finish that Arkham City cast poster.

And so they had to give Kazoo instructions for Jess. So what happened during the Three's Company table read, there was quite a few of us sitting out that were dressed as Mrs. Roper. And What they did was every time Mrs. Roper had a line during the table read, they showed it on the screens that were on the side of the stage.

And then after the Three's Company was over with is when I went up and did the table read for the episode of Out of This World. And there's Chase and I. Look at that. Two pretty ladies. And I think Joe was lining up a virtual table read at some point that we were talking about afterwards that I could be involved in. And we're hoping that is going to be the Dukes of Hazzard episode with the alien visitor.

They knew that Jess had, had been wronged. Yeah. And so they just had said a lot of bad things about them when they abruptly canceled on us.
